What is the difference between the "SID" and "Machine SID" attributes?
When Windows is installed on a system, a "Machine SID" is configured to contain a statistically unique 96-bit number. The machine SID prefixes the SIDs of user accounts and group accounts that are created on that computer.
To see this run a users report containing the "SID" attribute against a computer to return the local user accounts SIDs. Then run a computers report with the "Machine SID" attribute to return the "Machine SID" for that computer. You will see that each of the local accounts on the computer are prefixed with the "Machine SID".
