"Connection fails due to sqlcode 1119" error is seen adding a new DB2 LUW database agent -
Description
Problems trying to add a Monitored DB2 instance from the Foglight Management Server.The DB2 Installer agent fails during DB connectivity validation. The FMS log shows "Connection fails due to sqlcode 1119."

Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
Check the FMS and FGLAM support bundle for any Time outs or communication errors.
Connection fails due to sqlcode 1119
Which means:
A connection to or activation of database name cannot be made because a previous restore is incomplete.
The database cannot be connected by anyone until it will be in stable state.This is an environment issue. Please, check the supported platforms here.
RESOLUTION 2:
Increase the time out parameter from 120000 to 240000 or just double the current timeout amount.
- Navigate to Administration | Agents | Agent Status
- select the DB2 installer agent on the Foglight Agent Manager planned for the instance
- Click on Edit Properties
- Modify the private proterties for this agent
- Increase the Connection Timeout to 240000 (milleseconds) |
- Click on the Save button.
