Improving sluggish mouse cursor movement within a remote desktop connection (4272173)

When making a remote desktop connection, TS or VDI, you may notice that the mouse pointer movement is not smooth and can appear stuttered or delayed.

This can be caused by the default setting for mouse cursor movement of 120 milliseconds when using a remote desktop connection. This default can be changed to improve mouse cursor movement responsiveness.

It is possible to reduce the cursor delay by reducing the wait interval, this can be done via a registry modification on the client computer, see below:

1. On the Terminal Server client computer, start Registry Editor, and then locate the following registry subkey:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client
2. Right-click Terminal Server Client, and then point to New.
3. Click DWORD, and then type Min Send Interval. Double-click this entry, and then set the value to 10.
4. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.

Quest does not provide support for problems that arise from improper modification of
