The Foglight Management Server (FMS) with an external Oracle DB has an error message similar to the following in the Management Server log(s):
ERROR [QuartzScheduler.PersistencePolicy_Worker-1] com.quest.nitro.service.persistence.obs.handler.AbstractObservationPersister - An error has occurred while persisting observations.
java.sql.SQLException: java.sql.BatchUpdateException: ORA-01653: unable to extend table FOGLIGHT.OBS_STRING_0027 by 128 in tablespace FGL_DATA
The FMS is unable to auto extend the tablespace due to environmental restrictions.
1. Have the DBA manually extend the tablespace
2. Restart the FMS
Slow FMS startup may be a symptom of this issue.
