Saving the archive set, SCA stops responding with the following error message:

ERROR [STDERR] java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unmatched braces in the pattern
Cause

Too many rows in the table STAT.MERC_MISC_EVENT.
Resolution

SOLUTION:
1. From a sqlplus or Toad session truncate table STAT.MERC_MISC_EVENT.
