When logging off, the following error message may appear:
End Program – SLAgent
Windows cannot end this program. It may need more time to complete and operation.
To return to Windows and check the status of the program, click Cancel. If you choose to end the program immediately, you will lose any unsaved data. To end the program now, click End Now.
This error typically indicates that there is a user prompt that has not been answered prior to logging off. An example of this is when using the application launcher to do an XCOPY. If the parameter to overwrite existing files is not input, a prompt will appear asking the user if it should overwrite the existing files. If the element has been created to launch asynchronously and to hide screen output, the prompt will be invisible to the user and the script will continue to run. The SLAgent process will continue to run in the background until this prompt is answered but since the prompt is hidden; the user will not be able to answer. The user will have to choose to “End Now” in order to logoff but the element that caused the error will not complete because the prompt was not answered.
Uncheck the “Hide any screen output” option in the application launcher elements until you find the one that is requesting the user’s input. Then add the correct parameter to this element to suppress the prompt.
