Shortcuts that are created by Desktop Authority do not function properly. -
Cause
Shortcuts created by Desktop Authority should contain separate entries for the Target and Target Arguments. Shortcut elements that contain the arguments on the target line may result in the addition of parenthesis to the created shortcut.

Resolution
For example, when creating a web address shortcut, put the path to the browser that will be used to open the Web page in the target field. The Desktop Authority $IEFileSpec variable can also be used.
In the Target Arguments field, place the URL.
Incorrect:
Target: $IEFileSpec http://www.Quest.com
Target arguments:
Correct:
Target: $IEFileSpec
Target arguments: http://www.Quest.com
