The message "Cannot update the agent's database" appears when committing changes
Review of the Emwmigration.log (%\program files\quest software\migration manager\exchange data\) shows the following error:
"CModMisc::MsgBoxEx Cannot update the agent's database."
The Console server can reach the shares by UNC, and the servers can be pinged by netbios name, yet the message persists.
Windows Management Instrumentation service is not functioning properly on the console server.
Either reboot of the console server, or restarting the Windows Management Instrumentation service, and the agents can then be updated successfully.
