DB2 Dashboard Memory graphs only show 4 months of history
Description
The retention policy is set to "Long Term Reporting" (Store indefinately) in "Data Management" dashboard but Memory breakdown graphs in DB2 dashboard only show 4 months of data.
Cause
The retention policy mentioned in the 'Data management' screen is the default configuration for all topologies that do not have a unique set of retention policy. Almost all of the DB topologies have a unique policy and are configured to purge data after 3-4 months. The memory graphs, for example, belong to DB2_OS_General topology that has a purging configuration of 3 months (This can be seen in the 'Manage Retention Policies' dashboard).
Resolution
To change the retention policy of a specific set of collections, go to FMS 'Manage Retention Policies' dashboard. Administration | Data | Manage Retention Policies
