After upgrading Archive Manager to 5.1.2 when attempting to add a storage connecting to Archive Manager (AM) using windows authentication, an error is returned.
"The account name is invalid or does not exist, or the password is invalid for the account name specified."
Swapping to forms based authentication works.
Perform one of the following workarounds. If the first one doesn't work perform the second one.
WORKAROUND 1
On each AM website (if there is more than one) do the following:
- go to IIS Admin
- Click on Authentication
- Disable Windows and Enable Forms. Reset IIS
- Change back to Windows (Disable Forms and Enable Windows). Reset IIS
- Try again connecting via Windows authentication to AM in the RME GUI
If the above doesn't work, try the next WORKAROUND
WORKAROUND 2
For each AM website (if there is more than one) do the following:
- Launch the AM Admin web UI
- Go to Authentication Mode.
