Since the location where Desktop Authority stores log files can be changed/customized, upgrades of Desktop Authority will not change the fields selected, or that may have been the defaults installed by a previous version of Desktop Authority. While this behavior is by design, there may be new dynamic variables that can be logged using the latest version of Desktop Authority.
Using the Logging tab in the Desktop Authority Manager, saved fields may be selected. Fields may contain one of more dynamic variables, environment variables, KiXtart macros, static text or any combination of them. When selecting dynamic variables, use the drop-lists on the Logging tab or press F2 to insert a specific variable at the cursor's current position in the being edited. The following table contains the default set of fields that are stored to the CSV log files found in a ‘clean' copy of Desktop Authority 7.x and Desktop Authority 8.x.
