Product:
Spotlight on Unix 2.1.1.267

Message:
Datasource error in connection <connection_name>: Failed to connect to server.
ErrorCode: 3114
Reason : Login credentials are incorrect.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Details:
It appears that the product were improperly inserting and NULL authtok value on password authentication when it had already been set earlier in the stack. Another possible cause would be for some OS like Solaris, the user needs to be a local user to the server before spotlight can make an established connection, although the user may connect via putty and telnet.
WORKAROUND 1:
Create a new user that is local to the serverespecially when the OS is Solaris. The Solaris client requires a local user. Linux workstations are fine with the network (Vintela) based user.
WORKAROUND 2:
R&Dreleased anew hotfix of QAS that should address the issue.
