Description

Getting the following error when trying to publish an object:
"The size of BLOB/TEXT data inserted in one transaction is greater than 10% of redo log size. Increase the redo log size using innodb_log_file_size."
Resolution

Use the following steps to adjust the MySQL settings for the database used by Toad Intelligence Central.

1) Stop the "Toad Database Server (Toad Intelligence Central)" service from service.msc. (Click Start | click in the Start Search box | type services.msc | press ENTER.)
Note: It is recommended to backup the TIC program data folder at first for safety. The default TIC program data folder is: C:\ProgramData\Dell\Toad Intelligence Central. Backup the whole "Toad Intelligence Central" folder if you want. You can also find the folder name from the value of "datadir" that we set in the "datahub.cnf" file.

2) Go to TIC installation folder(%TIC_INSTALLATION_DIR%), the default is "C:\Program Files\Dell\Toad Intelligence Central", open the %TIC_INSTALLATION_DIR%\datahub.cnf file, add the following line at the end of the file.
innodb_log_file_size=2G
You can start by specify the size from a value of 512M. If that does not work, reset to a bigger value, and so on. (The default value is 48M)

3) Restart the "Toad Database Server (Toad Intelligence Central)" service.
