ADSI error 0x80004005. Unspecified error" can be found in DSA logs (4250385)

The following error can be found under "Directory errors", and it appears in the DSA.log file:
"ADSI error 0x80004005. Unspecified error"

This error can be caused due to insufficient permissions for the Directory Synchronization Agent (DSA) account. The account may not have permissions to view the "deleted items" container in Active Directory.

To obtain the permissions one of the following solutions can be used:

1. On the Domain Pair Properties specify a source full administrative account for the source domain and a target full administrative account for the target domain.

2. Follow the steps in Microsoft KB Article ID 892826 "How to let non-administrators view the Active Directory deleted objects container in Windows Server 2003 and in Windows 2000 Server" to assign the required permissions for the DSA account:
