When using Git, can updates to a centralized repository, not local, be done from within Toad?
Description
When working with Git, is it possible to make updates to a repository on another server from within Toad?
Resolution
This is not possible to do from within Toad. When working with Git via Toad:
Toad checks files in and out of the local repository residing on the client desktop.
Changes are posted back to the local repository immediately.
Updates to any centralized repository are handled outside of Toad.
Note: Although Toad will not support GitHub directly, Toad for Oracle 13.0 will support clone, pull and push operations from inside Toad, to remote Git repository.
