When using Git, can updates to a centralized repository, not local, be done from within Toad? -
Description
When working with Git, is it possible to make updates to a repository on another server from within Toad? -
Resolution
This is not possible to do from within Toad. When working with Git via Toad:- Toad checks files in and out of the local repository residing on the client desktop.
- Changes are posted back to the local repository immediately.
- Updates to any centralized repository are handled outside of Toad.
Note: Although Toad will not support GitHub directly, Toad for Oracle 13.0 will support clone, pull and push operations from inside Toad, to remote Git repository.
