Litespeed Instance Configuration Wizard - "No SQL Instances were found on this particular server" -
Description
There is an instance of sql on the machine, but I receive the message "No SQL Instances were found on this particular server."
or
Litespeed version shows a old version for xpSLS.dll

Cause
Possibly could be that you have an older version of LiteSpeed still partially installed.

Resolution
Run the extended stored procedure in the SQL Query Analyzer
xp_sqllitespeed_licenseinfoIf the result shows some of the installed LiteSpeed components (especially xpSLS.dll) being of a different version from that of the other components:
1. Uninstall LiteSpeed.a. Go to control panel | select add\remove | click LiteSpeed.b. Next open windows explorer | delete anything from c:\program files (x86)\Dell or Quest Software\LiteSpeedc. Repeat the same for c:\program files, if there is anything belong to Dell or Quest Softwared. Next, open the registry;1.Select Start | run | type REGEDT32 | select hkey_local_machine | Software | Dell or Quest Software | LiteSpeed2.Delete it.3.Close the registry when you are done.e.You may also need to remove anything in the c:\programdata\Dell or Quest Software\LiteSpeed\Anything in here within LiteSpeed subfolder should be deleted and as well the root of Dell or Quest Software (if you do not have any other Quest products installed.2. Restart the server.
3. Delete any old files (such as xpSLS.dll) from the older LiteSpeed version
4. Install LiteSpeed.
