When I launch SQL Optimizer from a Quest product, like Toad, or try to registered SQL Optimizer, it gives me one on the following message:
"Invalid authorization key"
"Invalid authorization key (Wrong Edition)"
"Invalid authorization key (Bad License Key)"
"Invalid authorization key (License Bad Critical Machine)"
Incomplete Site Message, selecting the wrong license type, or using a commercial license key on a trial SQL Optimizer software could cause this issue.
RESOLUTION #1:
Make sure you are entering the complete Site Message. Most often people will miss their company types (e.g. LTD, INC, CORP, etc.) Keep in mind the Site Message is also case and spacing sensitive.
RESOLUTION #2:
Please select the correct type of licensing you purchased. If you purchased a stand alone SQL Optimizer, make sure you select the stand alone license type and not try to register as a module for Toad.
RESOLUTION #3:
If you are using a commercial license key on a trial SQL Optimizer, please uninstall the trial version and download the commercial version of Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle from https://support.quest.com . You'll see the additional message "Wrong Edition" if you are on a trial.
RESOLUTION #4:
Launch SQL Optimizer stand alone, select Help | Authorization, and enter your key and site message in that way.
