Highlighting portions of comments contains extra spaces or cursor placement on comments in Editor (4240939)

Highlighting a portion of a commented word starting from the middle of the word, then it seems as though extra spaces are inserted during the highlighting.

When placing the I-bar cursor in the middle of a commented word in the Editor, the blinking cursor does not set focus on whereit wasclicked; the precision is inaccurate.

Product defect.

WORKAROUND:

Turn off Italic Behavior for Comments:

1. Go to View | Toad Options, from main menu.
2. Locate Editor - Behavior on the left and click on the Syntax highlighting button on the right side.
3. In the Language Management window, click on Comment under styles and uncheck the Italic check box under the Font style section.
4. Click on Apply and OK on both windows.

The comments in the Editor should behave normally and will still be green.
