User attempts to setup statistics between two boxes in a workgroup OR between one box on a domain and another in a workgroup, and the central repository is not updated properly. In some cases the user will have to execute ActivityManager.exe manually.
Service account authentication between two machines that are in a workgroup OR not in the same domain fails due to a lack of trust relationship between the two machines.
1. The local administrator account cannot be used to run the LiteSpeed Activity Service when two machines are in a workgroup OR are not in the same domain. So, the account used to run the LiteSpeed Activity Service must be an account that is a member of the Administrators group on both boxes with the same username and password.
2. If connection problems are encountered when setting up the Central Repository, a workaround would be to add an entry to the Hosts file on the box where Instance Configuration is being run with the server name and IP address of the Central Repository machine.
3. If the service account running the LiteSpeed Activity Service is changed, be sure to restart the service.
4. Once setup is complete, run a test to verify that data is passed from the Litespeedlocal database to the LiteSpeedCentral database correctly.
