"Error 0xea00009d. Home MDB is empty" may occur when synchronizing objects in a two-way sync. -
Description
When performing a two-way sync with Migration Manager for Active Directory, the following error may be discovered in the DSA log file: "10.10.2008 18:08:08 (GMT+01:00) COM AcAdSwitches Error 0xea00009d. Home MDB is empty"
The user in question is also shown as "Failed Object" in the synchronization statistics (please see screen shot below).

Cause
This error may come up, if a two-way sync is configured and Migration Manager for AD tries to synchronize a mailbox-enabled object from the target to the source, but no source mailbox store is specified in the "Specify Exchange Options" tab of the Synchronization Properties.

Resolution
Please specify a source mailbox store in the "Specify Exchange Options" tab of the Synchronization Properties in order to allow Migration Manager for AD to mailbox-enable the source account. After that, it is necessary to choose "Start and Re-Sync" in order to apply the changes and re-run the synchronization.
