Not installing correctly when path beginning with \\host\. Does Toad support DFS installation? (4234583)

Toad does not install correctly. I download the installer and try to install locally. I have admin rights to install on my system. I walk through the installer and it seems to install correctly but in the end, no shortcut is created on my desktop and nothing is installed.

- my regular user is a domain user with admin rigths
- the admin user is a domain user
- the Server is a Windows 2003 Server with activated DFS (distributed file
system)

If I log on as he Administrator user I can install and the icon of TOAD is installed in the desktop-directory of this Administrator user. And if I copy the icon to the desktop directory of my regular user everthing works fine.

Toad for Oracle and the Quest Install application that it uses does not support DFS (distributed file system).

WORKAROUND:
Install as Administrator that is not accessed though a \... Path.

STATUS:
An enhancement request has been submitted to Development for consideration in future release  of Toad for Oracle and Quest Installer.
