No version selector window appears on launch of Optimizer from within Toad. How to reset default. -
Description
When trying to launch SQL Optimizer from within Toad, it does not give the version selector window that allows you to choose witch version of Optimizer to open. By default, Toad will open a prompt if there are mutltiple versions installed.
There are multiple versions of Optimizer installed and they are all working and valid.
But after upgrading Optimizer, the older version opens automatically. How can Toad be set to open the newest version instead, or how can the version selector window be set up to display a choice?

Cause
The default version could have been set. In the Optimizer Selector window that usually opens, there's a check box to "set as default" the version selected at that time. If this is set at any point, this will be saved and applied to other installs of Toad and Optimizer. -
Resolution
To remove/reset the default version setting, go into to Optimizer | Options | General. Click on the "Settings" button at the bottom associated to "Launching Quest SQL Optimizer from other applciations". This can be accessed from any version of Optimizer opened as it will save to the registry and apply anytime Optimizer is launch from within Toad.

Additional Information
This may apply to various versions of Toad and Optimizer. No versions selection can be made if there is not multiple versions of Optimizer already installed.
