Plus sign (+) appears in the Oracle Overview dashboard under "Monitoring Agents" - "OS" (4233132)

CAUSE 1

The Monitoring Agents - OS icon is enabled when the Oracle agent is monitored by native database agent OS metrics and an associated IC (Infrastructure) agent.

Duplicate topology

RESOLUTION 1

The code checks a populated metric value of "active_host".

• If the Oracle agent has Oracle cartridge OS collections enabled and the agent is monitored by an IC agent, then there is "full" OS monitoring.
• If the Oracle agent has Oracle cartridge OS collections enabled and the agent is not monitored by an IC agent, then there is only DB level OS monitoring.
• If the Oracle agent has Oracle cartridge OS collections disabled and the agent is monitored by an IC agent, then there is only IC agent level OS monitoring.
• If the Oracle agent has both Oracle cartridge OS collections disabled and the agent is not monitored by an IC agent, then there is no OS monitoring.

Please consult KB 4296013 for details on clearing duplicate topologies from the database agents.

If the Oracle agent has Oracle cartridge OS metric enabled and the agent is monitored by an IC agent, then there is "full" OS monitoring.
