The Customize option for toolbars and menus in the right click popup menu is not available. -
Description
I need to customize my toolbar but cannot. I right clicked over my toolbar and was hoping to click on the Customize option, but it was not listed at all on the right click pop up menu. I went to View | Options | Toolbars/Menus and chose a configuration that was not Read Only (specifically User Default) and then applied the changes to Option. The Customize option was still not listed in the the right click menu.

Cause
Toolbars.ini may be missing.

Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
Double check that in View | Options | Toolbars/Menus | Configurations, a configuration that is not READONLY is chosen. Do not choose Toad Default since this is by default read only.
RESOLUTION 2:
Access Customize through View | Customize Menus option instead of the right click window.
RESOLUTION 3:
Go to your Toad installation directory and looks for the Toolbars.ini file. This should be located in C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files.
If you do not have this file you can either get a copy of this file from another Toad install, contact support@quest.com and refer to this solution, or reinstall Toad.
