DB2 databases that have SMS tablespaces do not display size information
Description

Databases that have SMS tablespaces don't display any size information for the SMS tablespaces, but do display sizes for other tablespaces.
Cause

CAUSE 1
For non auto storage SMS type tablespace, the space reported is the file space used for the tables stored in this table space but it is only collected when the bufferpool switch is on. The SMS tablespace cannot be defined by percent. They are always in either 0% utilization or 100%
CAUSE 1
For db2 10.5 the details about tablespaces are retrieved from the mon_get_tablespace and are controlled by the monitoring configuration parameter: mon_obj_metric.
There are three values available for the setting: None, Base (Basic the default), and Extended.
This should be set to basic (and it is by default).
Resolution
RESOLUTION 1
Turn on the bufferpool switch in DB2
RESOLUTION 2
Please check the configuration in DB2
select dbpartitionnum,name,value
from sysibmadm.dbcfg
where name = 'mon_obj_metrics'
If the result is NONE then set this configuration parameter to BASE to collect all metrics that are reported through the following table functions:
MON_GET_BUFFERPOOL
MON_GET_CONTAINER
MON_GET_TABLESPACE:
1. Set the MON_GET_METRICS to BASE in DB2.
2. Deactivate and active the DB2 agent
3. Wait a moment and check the metrics again
