Event alarms firing for DB2 diagnostic log messages when Error severity is configued (4230706)

Error has been configured as the minimum severity to invoke alarms for DB2 diagnostic logs. The system is firing alarms even for event messages. The issue happens on all DB2 instances.

WORKAROUND

Please follow the steps update these two DB2 rules

• DB2 - Database Log Message
• DB2- Database Log Message Summary

1. Copy log-message-rule.xml to the FMS\bin folder
2. Access the OS command line, navigate to the FMS\bin folder, change the foglight username and password, then run the following command

This issue has been logged as defect FOM-90 and has been fixed in the 5.9.7.10 and higher releases of the DB2 cartridge for Foglight
