The Global Variable definition file is not correctly signed and will not be processed (4228401)

"The Global Variable definition file is not correctly signed and will not be processed"

Machines receive this error when Desktop Authority runs.

CAUSE 1:

The Administrative service is not started in order for the Desktop Authority clients to process profiles.

CAUSE 2:

This can be caused if Server Caching is enabled and the cached server is no longer available. 

RESOLUTION 1: Verify Administrative Service

In Desktop Authority’s console verify that the Administrative services are started and the symbol is green.

If stopped and the symbol is red try to start the service and see if an error is received. Make sure the passwords for the accounts used are still accurate.

If the symbol is yellow check to see if more information is given, you may need to update the service or reinstall if necessary.

RESOLUTION 2:  Disable Server Caching.

• Uncheck Server Caching
