Installing a new DB2 agent on Windows does not find the DB2 home path.
The following error is found in the DB2 installer log
Failed to execute query on host HOSTNAME. Reason : [The provided db2home belong to another instance: \Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\bin" && set "DB2INSTANCE=DB2" && db2cmd /c /w /i "db2 get instance". Required: DB2.- Profile:FglAM Connection Profile \{Host = HOSTNAME, Agent = DB2AgentInstaller-FGLAMNAME} Query: "validateDB2Home"]. Query : [validateDB2Home]
The Windows host has 8.3 formatting disabled.
Check if the OS enabling of 8.3 filenames is disabled by default.
or
Open a DOS command prompt and a powershell window, then run the following command in both windows to see if the cursor will be navigated to the "program files" directory.
cd c:\Progra~1
If the user is not brought to the "program files" directory, open an elevated (run as Administrator) command prompt (if it is not already open) and enter the following command
fsutil behavior set disable8dot3 0
