DB2 agent password failure (4228361)

The command DB2 GET DBM CFG can be used to obtain the correct authentication mode from the DB2 server.

RESOLUTION 1 - for new DB2 agents being installed

In the DB2 installer, set the Authentication type to the correct setting to match the DB2 instance.

RESOLUTION 2 -  for existing DB2 agents

1. Navigate to Administation | Agents | Agent Status
2. Select the DB2 agent
3. Click the Edit Properties button
4. Click the link to "Modify the private properties for this agent"
5. In the "Monitored Connection Profile" area, select the "Authentication Mode" pulldown menu and choose the correct mode.
   
6. Click the Save button in the bottom right corner of the page
7. Click the Agent Status link to return to the Administration | Agent Status page
8. Deactivate the DB2 agent
9. Reactivate the DB2 agent
