Collecting logs from new custom Windows Event log data source using agent-side caching fails with error:
"Description: Failed to collect event log. ADC Error: ADC Error: Most likely the gathering job was not scheduled or event caching was not fully activated. Please schedule the task that includes the gathering job and try again."
This will occur on a custom Windows Event log datasource until the log is collected at least once without caching.
1) On the custom Windows Event log uncheck the "Agent-side caching" option.
2) Allow the job to run successfully for each machine in question at least once.
3) On the custome Windows Event log enable once again the "Agent-side caching" option.
4) Ensure the task is scheduled.
5) The caching should now fully activate and the error no longer occur during scheduled gathering.
6) If all other steps fail restart the InTrust Server services to ensure enabling of cache mode.
