Where should the benchmark sql file be placed to be run by a Sybase agent?
Description

The Sybase Benchmark startup properties says that SQL statements can be placed in a file.
Where should the file be located (on database instance or Foglight management server?
Also can multiple SQL statements in a file be processed?
Resolution

The sql query should be on the Foglight Agent Manager where the Sybase agent is installed. This folder location should then be entered into the Sybase agent's ASP (Agent Status Properties).
Multiple commands can be passed in the SQL file when each command is ended with a "go" on a new line.
The collection sends the query in the file and adds "set statistics time on" to the beginning of it.
As an example, using this set of commands (where the employees table does not exist or is inaccessible)
select @@VERSION
go
select employee from employees
go
Will cause the second part to fail (as expected) and the first statement to be parsed correctly.
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: employees not found. Specify owner.objectname
