Error "Attempt to access invalid address. Please confirm Microsoft Excel has been installed on this system" when exporting to Excel" (4225964)

On creating an export template to export to an Excel file (.xlsx or .xlsm) with a date suffix, and adding it to an automation script; when the automation script has finished and produces a link for the Excel file, the following error occurs when clicking the file link:

"Attempt to access invalid address. Please confirm Microsoft Excel has been installed on this system."

WORKAROUND 1:

Manually navigate to the Excel file location as it will have been created.

WORKAROUND 2:

Remove the date suffix from the export template.

STATUS:

Waiting for a fix in a future release of Toad Data Point.
