SSL error bad record mac (4225224)

Unable to connect to remote machines from a specific machine.

In the “C:\Program Files\Desktop Authority” folder there is a DesktopAuthority.log file that shows:

SSL error: bad record mac

To test this try and access the machine on an unsecured connection.

In the address bar type http://machinename:2000/

• “MachineName” is the machine you are connecting to.

• “2000” is the default port used for remote connections (This could be different if changed)

If the connection works, then the issue is only with SSL connections which points to issues decrypting SSL connections from the machine you are making a remote connection from.
