Description
When creating a LiteSpeed Log Shipping Plan WITH STANDBY, the following error displays:
RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
This backup cannot be restored using WITH STANDBY because a database upgrade is needed. REISSUE the RESTORE DATABASE without WITH STANDBY. -
Cause
The Publisher SQL is a different (earlier) version of SQL Server. i.e., Publisher = SQL2000 & Subscriber SQL2008 would generate the error message.

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
1. Upgrade the Servers to the same version of SQL Server
2. Set up the Log Shipping without using WITH STANDBY -
