Description
NetApp events not recorded in Change Auditor and the following is recorded in the Change Auditor Agent log:
2016-08-23 05:54:13.175 [5700][WARN][CNetAppDirectSink::FPolicyInstance::KeepAlive(554)] FilerStatus from instance 2 failed (4): 000000e9Change Auditor is able to make the initial connection to NetApp to create the FPolicy but NetApp is not able to connect to the Change Auditor Agent. The Event Log on the NetApp server records the following error:CIFS: Error for server \\<CA_agent_server>: SMB2 Session setup error No Trusted Logon Servers Available - STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS -
Cause
The Change Auditor agent is not in the same domain as the NetApp filer or SMB signing is enabled. -
Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
Use a Change Auditor agent in the same domain as the NetApp filer for monitoring.
RESOLUTION 2:
Ensure SMB signing is not enabled on both the Change Auditor Agent server and NetApp filer.
Windows Server:
- Set the following registry key to 0
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters\RequireSecuritySignature
NetApp:
- options cifs.smb2.signing.required off
