How to add ErwinSpy as a Drop Down in erwin? (4220316)

Description:

I can launch ErwinSpy from the executable separately, but how to add it to erwin to launch it from within the application?

Solution:

You can add ErwinSpy using the following steps:

1. From the top menu Tools, select Add-Ins: 

2. Select 'Manage' to get to the following editor: 

3. Click on the 'Add Menu Item' to add a new utility (e.g. ErwinSpy)

4. Enter the Parameters as follows:

Please note that the Comm ProgID was picked up as follows. Click on the three ellipses at the end:  

Save it and the option to launch ErwinSpy will show up in your from down menu as follows:

Please note that the selection of Comm ProgID is different for 9.7.0 and later.  For earlier versions of 9.x, it will be something as follows (note missing .Net reference): 

Other than that, it should be same for all versions of erwin.
