Error executing command to retrieve cepp.conf recorded in the Change Auditor Agent log -
Description
An error similar to the following is recorded in the log file for a Change Auditor agent configured to monitor an EMC File Server:
2016-07-11 04:32:40.086 [5340][ERROR][Emc::CeppConfMonitor::MonitorItem::OnTimer(159)] Error executing command to retrieve cepp.conf on 10.10.10.1. NetProLib::System::__execute_cmd - Timeout running OS command -
Cause
"Audit cepp.conf" is enabled for the Change Auditor EMC template for the filer and the Change Auditor agent is unable to connect to the EMC Control Station to retrieve the cepp.conf file on port 22. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
If auditing cepp.conf is not required, it can be disabled by performing the following:- Edit the EMC template for the filer listed in the error message
- Click "next" on the wizard until the last page of the wizard is reached
- Click "Audit file"
- Uncheck the "Enable auditing" checkbox and click OK
- Click Finish
- Refresh the Change Auditor agent configuration
RESOLUTION
Ensure the Change Auditor Agent is able to connect to the EMC filter on port 22.
