Version mismatch error after altering the cluster virtual name (4218403)

If the cluster virtual name was changed, the LiteSpeed installation will display a warning message but will succeed if you proceed; however, there may be functional errors displayed, such as a version mismatch error.

Clusters virtual name cannot be renamed but reinstalled if it is necessary.

Per Microsoft, renaming the SQL Server (virtual, or clustered) is not supported in Microsoft SQL Server 2000. If you rename the SQL Server Network Name resource, a variety of problems may occur.

One of the problems that may occur is that the SQL Server virtual server instance may no longer come online and the LiteSpeed installation will display warning messages and functional errors.
