During installation, you may get an error message written to the verbose install log file regarding the IsScript engine. The following are some of the common error messages encountered with the IsScript engine:
Cannot find IsScript.msi
The version of IsScript.msi is old
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
These error messages are system specific and may be corruption on your computer. In addition to the solution provided below, it is recommended that users acquire administrative privileges on their computers if running the setup on Windows NT 4.0, 2000 or XP.
The Terminal services may be logged in application mode, it is required that the user be logged in as admin or the user is required to install from the console (directly on the box)
LiteSpeed msi installer is not Terminal Services aware.
Determine the version number of the IsScript engine you need, download it, and install it.
1. Right-click on the installation file that you are trying to install and select Properties.
2. The typical names for installation files are setup.exe, update.exe, installer.exe, etc.
3. Your installation file can be found on the CD where you are running the setup from.
4. In the Properties dialog, click on the Version tab.
5. Look at the File Version field to determine the version number of the IsScript engine required.
