LiteSpeed will work on a higher version of .NET Framework than 2.0?
If .NET 2.0 (< Version 1.1) is not on the computer where LiteSpeed is being installed, the following error will be displayed, "The required .NET version is not installed. Microsoft .NET version 2.0 was not foundon this computer. LiteSpeed Client Tools require Microsoft .NET version 2.0 or later. Exit this wizard and install .NET version 2.0. Then reinstall LiteSpeed."
N/A
LiteSpeed requires a minimum of .NET Framework then 2.0 and has been has tested to run with versions of .NET up to 3.5
NOTE: If Microsoft's .NET is installed on the server, it requires a reboot. LiteSpeed may then be reinstalled.
The .NET Framework setup will require a reboot when one of the files it needs to install is in use during installation. There are a handful of files that are shared by all versions of the .NET Framework, so if there is an earlier version of the .NET Framework installed on the system than the one that is currently being installed, and a managed application is running and holding one of the shared files in use, then a reboot could be required at the end of installation.
