Description:
I have a Shape over a few Entities. When I place an Entity on a Relationship, the Relationship is always is on top of the Entity.
How to do I make the Relationship Line to appear behind the Entity in r9?
Solution:
That is because of the properties of the Shape or Annotation when it is covering a group of Entities with Relationships. Without the Shape or Annotation, you can either show these Relationships in the background or in front of the Entities by using the following selection in the Display (Right Mouse Click on a blank area on a Diagram and select Properties). In the Display tab, under Preferences, the checkbox 'Display Lines on top' determines whether the Relationships are shown in front of or behind the Entity. To show them behind the Entity, deselect that checkbox.
However, when a Shape or Annotation is added, the Relationships are either on top (if the box above is checked) or are missing (if it is unchecked). To show the Relationship behind the Entity, the Transparency part will need to be adjusted as follows:
That should show the Relationships behind the Entity as expected.
