Why do I get results from the first model opened in the Query Tool, if two instances of erwin DM (4218144)

Description:

When two instances of erwin DM are running on the same computer, with two different data models open, the query tool will fetch data from the data model opened first for both instances of erwin DM. The result of the query tool will be for the data model opened first.  Why is this happening?

Solution:

You can only have one instance of erwin DM Query Tool reporting at a time on a computer by design.  The way to get the data from the other instance of erwin Data Modeler's Model is that the first erwin Data Modeler's Model will have to stop the Reporting.  You can do that by clicking Tools | Options | Reporting - Stop ODBC Reporting and then it will need to be restarted from the same menu.
