Description:
'Offline Index' is configured, however backup-sets appear in the restore window.
Symptoms:
Using the 'Backup Life' options for a backup job, indexes are configured to go offline after a certain period of time. At a time when the indexes should have expired the backup-sets are visible in the restore screen, indicating that the indexes remain online.
Cause:

When the "Offline Index After" option is enabled, the "index" for the backup job (what was backed up) will be removed from NVDB after the time configured. The "entry" for the backup job (date and time, job name, etc) is not removed from NVDB until backup life is expired. NetVault always keeps information about backup jobs in its database (until life expires), and can offline the indexes (list of files that were backed up).
The backup-sets, whose indexes are offline, should be displayed in the restore screen by a grey icon with a red 'cross' through it.
Backups whose indexes are offline will have to be media-scanned before a restore can be performed.
Double-clicking on the backup-set's icon will result in the indexes being automatically rebuilt. By default, the index will be retained for 1 day before being offlined again.
