Symptoms:
Installation fails with following error-

/usr/netvault/util/nvsetstanza: syntax error at line 1: `(' unexpected
Failed to set first configuration value
pkgadd: ERROR: postinstall script did not complete successfully
Installation of failed." -
Resolution
There are two separate Solaris modules - one for SPARC and another for x86. Ensure the correct module is used for the installation. -
