Resolution
NetVault stores its logs in log pages (files) in ~netvault/logs. The files are called log-#, and everytime a file fills up, # is increased and a new log file is created. The file LogNum contains the number of the currently active log file.
When restoring log files from a NetVault database backup, NetVault can't merge the restored logs with log files that might already exist. Therefore, in order not to overwrite anything, it will create a new folder in ~netvault/logs called "log_restored_20071127" (the current date), and restore all the log files into that directory.
If you want to use these log files instead of the ones that your current installation was already using, you will need to stop the NetVault service, move the files that are *currently* in ~netvault/logs out of the way and move the contents of the log_restored directory into ~netvault/logs. If you now start the service, NetVault will use the restored log files.
