Differential restore of SQL DB failed with the following error in the mssql_log file.

Resolution
ODBC 42000 error usually suggest an access violation or a syntax errors. However, the actually message says that it was unable to restore because the previous restore was not completed properly. This implies that the differential restore is trying to restore on top of an incorrect full restore. Please make sure to restore the correct full first to avoid this error. -
