Plugin version: 1.0 and up
Description:
Right clicking and choosing mount on a Windows guest VM to browse and perform a file level backup gives an hour glass but the drive node never appears below.
There are two possible causes of this:
There could be an image mounted in the working directory of the VCB proxy already. If a backup is aborted in between or the job fails, the virtual machine might not be unmounted from the VCB Proxy, and the snapshot might not be deleted. Also if the Virtual machine's file system is browsed, but no job scheduled and the user forgets to use the unmount command, could also cause the mounted image to remain mounted and un-deleted. To relieve this condition run the vcbCleanup command from the VCB installation directory.
The other possibility is that a snapshot exists on the ESX server itself. In this case use the snapshot manager from the VMware Virtual Infrastructure client to delete the snapshot.
