Message in Lotus Domino Server console repeats every minute: -- Process nvnoteagent.exe has termi (4045669)

Description:
When a process is initiated as a client, Lotus Domino Server takes into account the process, and regularly checks if the process is still active. Client process would gracefully end the Lotus Notes session, and so the Lotus Domino Server will be aware that the client process has terminated and will stop to check if the client process is still active. If the client process ends without gracefully notifying the Lotus Domino Server, in every regular check, the Lotus Domino Server will look at the list of client process, and find out that a process in the list is not existing in the system, and then Lotus Domino Server will issue the mentioned warning message:
Note that the number between parentheses in the Lotus Domino Server warning message, i.e. (628/0x274), refers to the process id in decimal and hexadecimal. For example (628/0x274) means that:
C:\Program Files\BakBone Software\NetVault\bin\nvnoteagent.exe had process id 624 decimal that is 0x274 hexadecimal.

Symptoms:
Message in Lotus Domino Server console repeats every minute: -- Process: C:\Program Files\BakBone Software\NetVault\bin\nvnoteagent.exe (628/0x274) has terminated abnormally

The message will be displayed in the Lotus Domino Console at regular intervals until the Lotus Domino Server is restarted. In occasions the message will be displayed even after many restarts of the Lotus Domino Server. An alternative to shutdown the physical hardware hosting the Lotus Domino Server is as well described in the above mentioned IBM website, and outlined below:

1. Open a terminal or command prompt window; for example in Windows Operating System:
Start -> Run -> cmd

2. cd %Lotus_Domino_Server_Folder%
Example: cd C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Domino

3. Execute the nsd command with the -kill switch
Example: "C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Domino\nsd" -kill


The application will output information related to the operation, i.e. process lists, and status messages about the processes terminated.

4. After the nsd -kill command is performed, you will need to start the Lotus Domino Server, because this option kills all Notes/Domino processes in the current Lotus Domino partition that is, all the processes accessing Notes shared memory running from the same location as from where the nsd command is run.

Important Note:
Note that the solution involves stopping and starting the Lotus Domino Server. If the Client Process referred in the message is the Lotus Notes APM nvnoteagent, you might ignore the message, and apply the procedure that restart the Lotus Domino Server at any later time.
