1 From the machine containing the installation of this plug-in, navigate to /opt/storix/bin:
cd /opt/storix/bin
2 At the command prompt, issue the following command to remove the remaining directories:
./stuninstall
3 Respond “y” to each prompt that is displayed regarding the removal of user configuration and history files.
The following shows the screen output for these steps.
# cd /opt/storix/bin
# ./stuninstall
It will ask do you want to remove storix mention as y
The storix software is removed.
Remove the live client plugin from netvault console on the linux client
Remove the /usr/netvault/util/linux directory by using the following command:
rm -irf /usr/netvault/util/linux
Remove the README files by using the following command:
rm -irf /usr/netvault/util/RE*
Remove the /usr/netvault/util/stinstall directory by using the following command:
rm -irf /usr/netvault/util/stinstall
Reboot the machine.
Please create following directories in the client machine.
- /storix
- /opt/storix
re-install live client plugin.
When you install the plugin liveclient for linux, two additional directories created - the storix bin directory and the storix temp directory.
The storix bin directory is where the storix software is installed.
The default storix bin directory is /usr/bin
Note : Make sure to disable encryption on disk
Edit this file: /opt/storix/config/device_info
Comment out all line in the mpath section and only add the following lines:
disk:mpath/mpath:a-z::1-15:Device-Mapper Multipath device
disk:mpath/mpatha:a-z::1-15:Device-Mapper Multipath device
Then restart netvault service on the client machine and re-run the backup.
