Description: Installed Netvault Client Software on ESX Server. When browsing the client, cannot open up on the vmfs directory.
Symptoms: Installed client as root, but cannot expand the vmfs directory
under backup. -
Resolution
1. Log into the Service Console as root.
2. Run the following command:
grep vmfs /proc/mounts >> /etc/mtab
The /vmfs tree will now be visible through the Netvault Backup management interface. Note: Issuing this command does not permanently enable viewing the /vmfs tree in the Backup window of the Netvault Gui. It is recommended that you create a startup script that contains this command. -
